卫报首作奖与纽约时报十大好书

两条书讯：

1，Alexandra Harris 的非虚构类作品 Romantic Moderns:English Writers, Artists and the Imagination from Virginia Woolf to John Piper 获得今年卫报首作奖。正好也是之前看到入选的五本书时最有兴趣读的一本，先放进阅读书单里。

2，纽约时报评出年度十大好书，五本小说里，读过的是Emma Donoghue 的Room，前半部分写得太出色，但后半部让人有些犹疑。另外刚买了William Trevor的小说选集，打算放在案头慢慢读。剩下三本里，比较有兴趣的是Ann Beattie 的 The New Yorker Stories《纽约人故事集》。对纽约时报的这份好书名单有一个疑问，两部短篇集都算不上今年的新作，莫非是没有其他好小说了吗？
